Ducked-Under Screen

The on-ball defender slides under the screen instead of chasing over it — he's conceding the pull-up behind it.

THE TRIGGER — ONE LOOK

One look at the defender's path as you come off: if his body disappears behind the screener instead of trailing your shoulder, he went under. The space behind the screen is yours.

YOUR JOB, BY WHERE YOU'RE STANDING

Ballhandler

Don't keep driving — come off the screen, sit behind it, and rise for the pull-up.

Going under only beats you if you dribble into where he's headed. The screen is a wall between you and him; the jumper behind it is unguarded.

Screener

Flip out of the screen and pop behind the arc — your man is dropped too deep to chase you.

The duck-under leans on the drop big to hold the middle. Popping stretches him between the paint and your shot, and he can't cover both.

Corner

Hold the corner, shot-ready — your feet keep the low helper pinned wide.

Lifting drags your defender up the line and into the action. Standing still means any help he gives leaves your three wide open.

THE NEXT BEAT

He's sprinting to meet you on the far side, betting you keep driving. Stop behind the screen and he's stuck under it — but cash it now, because after one made pull-up the defense starts switching.
