Horns: Two Bigs, Four Doors
Horns is a starting formation: your point guard at the top, two big players at each elbow, and two shooters deep in the corners. It looks simple, but it puts the defense in a bind before anything happens. The corners hold the help defenders far from the basket, and the two elbows give the ball-handler a screen on either side. From here your team can run a pick-and-roll left, a pick-and-roll right, a handoff, or a pass to either elbow. One formation, many doors — and the defense can't guard all of them.
READ THIS
Look at how the defense shades the two elbow screens — which big's defender is higher, and whether the corner defenders are pinned or cheating in.
DO THIS
Attack the screen whose defender sits deeper, and use the opposite elbow as your outlet the moment help collapses toward your drive.

Your team runs Horns: both bigs at the elbows, shooters in the corners. You use the left elbow screen; your defender fights over the top and the screener's man drops deep with their eyes locked on you. Your screener rolls hard behind them.
